Impressive is a description properly characterizing the set of core applications developed under Ubuntu Touch Core Apps' umbrella, official project housing the in-progress refining and polishing of Clock App, Calculator App, File Manager App, Sudoku App, Shorts App, etc.
Weather App has been updated to another meaningful release, bringing several fixes, enhancements and tweaks, bundle of changes rooted into a pixel-level approach of in-depth optimizing the weather utility for the user's likeness and hassle-free maneuvering.
Launching the newly-updated Weather App, the user is to notice the removal of the year from the top-area's date, date expressed now only with day, month and day's name, while the bottom-area has been enriched with a new
Updated entry, presenting the latest time when the weather tool was updated; meaning, the user is able to easily observe the time of the weather's of-origin updating action; navigating (for example) to
Paris (a previously-added city), shows on the bottom area the time when the weather was updated.
Hitting the bottom-bar's
Edit button and clicking on
Add city, summons now a significantly-improved city-search area: search button with dotted pattern and predefined city list come to deliver a rich searching experience, where the user is to search for and add cities in a matter of seconds.
The look is pleasant and intuitive, entering into the dedicated add-city view, the user is faced with characters marking the listed cities, while the dotted button is hidden when searches are performed, being substituted by the always-moving activity indicator (the spinning circle).
