GTK+ to probably receive blur support (box, text, icons)

It seems that Ubuntu has taken the overall full-fledged design into account as a first class citizen, approach proven by the solid amount of polish that lands in Ubuntu day-by-day.

Furthermore, it seems that not only user-visible polish is an important aspect to Ubuntu, but also under-the-hood enhancements (that will lead to user-visible changes), as such Ubuntu's Andrea Cimitan has started consolidating the GTK+ (the toolkit) itself, "I'm adding blur support to box-shadow, text-shadow, icon-shadow in Gtk+", which is not a mere concept, but real code (although a "young" work-in-progress).
