Core Apps' Music App received impressive additions

It is simply impressive, truly magnificent how the core applications for Ubuntu Touch are being progressively developed, core apps materializing passion, care for detail and modern patterns into beautiful, classy and stylish interfaces.

Music App has witnessed an interesting development road, being initially developed as a third-party application, then adopted inside the welcoming family of Core Apps' applications.

Music App has been enriched with serious new features, presenting itself as a both usable and refined music application with numerous functionalities.

Launching Music App, automatically exposes on its main view previously-added music tracks with track-specific thumbnails, artist and track names, main view allowing the user to easily observe and navigate through properly-listed tracks.

The selected track is highlighted with an orange-to-red bar, bar clearly visible inside the track field, clicking on another track, moves accordingly the red bar.

Adding music to Music App is as simple as hitting the bottom-bar's Add Playlist Settings button and hitting the Select Music folder button, action that:

  • opens a dedicated file-browsing view, allowing users to browse through the system's folders such as Music
  • displays the music tracks available inside clicked-on folders
  • utilizes the Go up button to navigate the system's tree of folders

  • finally, selects music via the Select button

Clicking on a track, plays the track, clicking on another track, plays the just-clicked track, music-playing activity displayed on the Music App's bottom-bar with time period, thumbnail and controls,--the regular minimalistic music-playing mode--.

Yet, hitting the bottom-bar's thumbnail, pushes the clicked track into a dedicated view: big-sized thumbnails, playing controls, time period are now presented with cleaner visuals and more intuitive maneuverable elements.

Returning to the normal view is as simple as clicking on the big-sized thumbnail, action that reverts the absolute mode to the normal listed mode.

The visuals are impressive with carved-like controls, elegant progress-bar and clean thumbnails.
