Colord has landed in Oneiric Ocelot's main repos
Ubuntu lacks a color management on the operating system level, needed to assure "that colors look the same when scanning or taking photos, working on the documents on the screen, and printing".
Colord (color daemon) is a "system service that makes it easy to manage, install and generate color profiles to accurately color manage input and output devices" with numerous features and functionalities.
Colord 0.1, the initial release, has landed in Oneiric Ocelot's main repos just now, adding another awesome functionality to Ubuntu.
How do we use Colord 0.1?
This is the very first version in Oneiric Ocelot, so, better integration and possibly a GUI (probably GNOME Color Manager) to configure Colord are expected to arrive in the near future, but, at the moment, you can try it via the terminal by typing
colormgr
